About me
Michael Hagen is the driving force behind the technical operations at the Clive Davis Institute at New York University, where he oversees the maintenance and continual improvement of the institute’s advanced production facilities. With extensive hands-on experience in recording studios, distributed performances, and electronics, Michael has developed a reputation for his deep technical knowledge and ability to solve complex challenges with creativity.
In addition to his technical foundation, Michael is a skilled educator. Michael has taught workshops at NYU on repair, system design, and networking, empowering others to build their technical prowess. His contributions exceed the realm of the class and studio; Michael played a pivotal role in managing operations for the Audio Engineering Society's 147th, 149th, and 151st Conventions, including successfully transitioning the 149th event to an online format, demonstrating adaptability in the face of new challenges. In the past two years, Michael has stepped up and served as co-chair of the 155th and 157th conventions.
Michael has also produced numerous live-streamed events for NYU and other organizations, blending technical expertise with live production to deliver seamless, high-quality broadcasts.
